Avid Middle East, in collaboration with OmniSystems, hosted a unique event at the Mövenpick hotel-Beirut on the 9th of June, 2004 in order to share with its clients and potentials the latest innovations and cutting-edge technology of the video production and broadcast business.

Avid Specialists introduced and demonstrated the new features of their products and services showing new edge in performance and speed.
The audience was composed mainly of broadcasters, production and postproduction companies, universities, multimedia developers, independent video editors and producers.
All have experienced the power and the flexibility of Avid new products and technologies.
Technologies like DNA (Digital Nonlinear Accelerator), products like Avid Xpress Studio, DS Nitris, LanShare, iNews, Active Content Manager as well as the legendary DigiDesign ProTools have been presented and demonstrated showing their great capabilities, power, versatility, quality, reliability and customizable interfaces.

The full day witnessed tailored customer presentations and one to one demos at OmniSystems new premises (Berytech, Technological Pole).
Each customer had the opportunity to meet with experts and receive accurate answers related to questions in his field of expertise.

The day ended with the launch of Access: Avid User Group for the Middle East Lebanese chapter in the presence of Avid officials and OmniSystems senior management.

Gabriel Deek, General Manager of OmniSystems said: "We are so pleased to announce the creation of Avid User Group, as it will help the community to exchange information and expertise, and influence the development of new features in the coming releases". Mr. Deek also launched the Avid Editor competition that will award the best five minutes clip produced on Avid equipment and software. This clip aims to promote Lebanon as a country and the Lebanese as dynamic talents.
As for Peter Ramsay, Avid General Manager Channels and UK, he committed to display the winning movie in all Avid trade shows in order to encourage the participants.
