During the Iraqi sent group’s official presence in Lebanon, presided by the first minister Dr. Ayad Allawi, Mr. Jalal Fawaz, president of the professional computer association, PCA- had met the Iraqi minister of communication Dr. Mohammad Ali El-Hakim at the Bristol Hotel, the sent group’s residence.

During the meeting, Mr. Fawaz invited the Iraqi ministry of communication and all the IT companies in Iraq to TERMIUM Lebanon exhibition that is organized by PCA, in September 2004, in order to have meetings and contacts and to improve the relations between both of the IT’s sector and the communication one in Lebanon and Iraq.

Fawaz asked as well the Iraqi minister to case the IT’s companies and the Internet’s entrance to Iraqi markets under the growing recommendation in the Iraqi market for the IT and Internet products.

Mr. Fawaz exposed the capability of the Lebanese companies especially in the highly executive technique in this domain, which will help Iraqi companies, and work on helping Iraqi professional and technical frames practicing in this domain.

Fawaz told the Iraqi minister as well that PCA puts all of its capabilities at the service of IT and information’s Iraqi sector.

The Iraqi minister, Dr. Mohammad Ali Hakim, thanked this initiative and showed himself ready to collaborate in both of IT’s sectors in Lebanon and Iraq.

He also appreciated the PCA’s initiative concerning the Iraqi’s IT’s sector.

Hakim welcomed the Lebanese companies that really wish to work in Iraq and he told Mr. Fawaz how much his ministry is ready to provide the Lebanese companies all the needed easiness.

At the end of the meeting, they took the decision to go on exchanging opinions and information for the best of both countries.
